Victoria College’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department was awarded first place in the Texas Administrators of Continuing Education Marketing Showcase.
Victoria College’s Workforce & Continuing Education Department won first place in the Texas Administrators of Continuing Education (TACE) Marketing Showcase for its promotion of the 2018 Leadership Symphony event held in January at VC’s Emerging Technology Complex.
The award was received at the TACE Conference held April 17-19 at the Omni Southpark in Austin. Approximately 10 colleges throughout Texas entered the contest.
“We are honored to receive this award and to be recognized by our peer institutions for our marketing efforts,” said VC Workforce & Continuing Education Assistant Director Rachel Nessel.
Also involved in the marketing campaign were VC Workforce & Continuing Education Director Sherri Pall and VC Marketing & Communications Assistant Director Tisha Sternadel.
The team created teasers, a “Congratulations” save-the-date card, a “Symphony” candy bar and a tambourine stamped with “Are You Ready?” and emailed a live countdown clock to those registered for the event.
“This first-of-its-kind event allowed us to partner very closely with our marketing department to put together some really unique and memorable marketing pieces,” Nessel said. “We are very thankful for the support we received from both VC’s Marketing & Communications Department as well as the VC Foundation for this event.”
The 2018 Leadership Symphony featured Drum Café, which travels worldwide offering team-building and leadership activities through music. Over 100 employees from businesses and company’s throughout the Crossroads area attended the sold-out event to combine their diverse talents and create a harmonic symphony of percussion.
