VC students to showcase artwork at spring semester exhibition

Victoria College visual art students will display their work during the Spring 2019 Student Art Exhibition from April 18 through May 2 at VC’s Fine Arts Gallery.

The exhibit will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 with an opening reception. The public is invited to attend the free event.

“We are excited to display some of the best paintings, drawings and sculptures created by our students this semester,” said VC Art Instructor Jason Valdez. “We are impressed with the students’ creativity and are proud to showcase their talents for the public to view.”

The gallery will be open Monday through Thursday during the exhibition from 4 to 6 p.m.

Victoria College offers a variety of art classes that accumulate college credits, including Art Appreciation, History of Art I and II, Painting I, Design I, Drawing I and II, and Ceramics I.
